| Trip to the J. Paul Getty Center |
Our Getty Museum trip was, in a word, splendiferous! We toured the magnificent gardens filling our senses with the scents and sights of native California flowers, foliage, and terra firma. After viewing the Greco-Roman statue exhibit, Dee Hayes said that the marble seemed to come alive as if one could actually touch the satin of the gown.

Some of the highlights included: a Rembrandt exhibit featuring his late religious paintings, various “rooms” throughout the museum grounds that were made of flowing water, ivy, roses, and grass, and a 1900’s photography exhibit.

Many of Breezewood’s residents enjoyed the cuisine: from the turkey meatball sandwiches (described as “unbelievable”) to the chicken with fig jam. Bonni also noted that their peanut butter and jelly was “divine”!

Frank was an indispensable asset on the trip, showing altruism towards his peers and sporting a curious spirit that was so contagious!

The Getty boasts many things as unique and memorable and although it was too large to get the entire tour, we at Breezewood where left with a fascination and just enough of a taste to draw one back again.

Upon exiting the tram to go home, our very own Gerrie was approached by the porter and told that she looked “just lovely” and was then ask out on a date! She blushed, laughed, and sadly turned him down.
