| Cinco de Mayo Dance 2008! |
Cinco de Mayo is a festive traditional Mexican holiday that commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
At Breezewood Village, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo this year with a festive dance! Residents enjoyed familair dance tunes as well as awesome Mariachi and Latin American favorites. Management provided an abundance of food as residents enjoyed personal margaritas and great company.
A heart-felt "thank you" to George Silva who DJ-ed our party and kept the toes a-tappin!
